Q. How do I remove stains from my resilient floor?
A. Most household stains can be removed with the use of the Mannington Heavy Duty Cleaner Stripper. For additional information regarding common stains see the Stain Solver page.

Q. What products do you recommend to clean my resilient floor?
A. We recommend frequent sweeping and using Mannington Rinse Free Cleaner or clear non-sudsy ammonia and water.

Q. Is resilient durable?
A. Yes. Resilient is a very durable substance and is an excellent choice for high traffic areas or in areas with moisture, such as bathrooms or laundry rooms. Now, with NatureForm Optix™, Mannington Resilient Flooring replicates the most realistic textures of ceramic, stone and wood ever seen in a resilient floor. So, resilient flooring can be both surprisingly fashionable and indisputably durable.

Q. What are the different installation methods for a Resilient floor?
A. There are three installation methods, we call them our Triple Options, loose lay, full spread and perimeter installation. Loose-Laid is when the vinyl is fit just slightly short of all vertical surfaces (approximately 1.16" away) so that it lies completely flat with no fullness or "pinch" points. Full spread is when adhesive is applied to the entire piece of flooring. Perimeter installation is when adhesive is applied to the edges of the flooring. All methods will result in a satisfactory flooring installation. The preferred method for your installation will be determined by the existing conditions of the area and can best be determined by the installer or the retailer where you are purchasing your Mannington Resilient Floor.

Q. What type of chair protectors can I use on resilient flooring?
A. Support furniture with wide-bearing, non-staining floor protectors. Ideally, the protectors should be at least one inch in diameter, made of non-pigmented, hard plastic and rest flat on the floor. Non-staining felt protectors are also acceptable. Casters with a minimum 3/4" flat surface width or floor protectors are recommended for all moveable furniture. Make sure any metal protectors are rustproof. Replace your narrow-dome furniture rests with wide-bearing ones.

Q. What is the difference between Resilient and Vinyl flooring?
A. Resilient and Vinyl flooring are the same, they are different terms used to describe the same type of flooring.

Q. What type of mat can I place on my resilient floor?
A. Use doormats outside each entrance to your home to prevent dirt, sand, grit and other substances such as oil, asphalt and driveway sealer from being tracked onto your floor. Staining can occur if there is a dye transfer from an object that has been laid on the floor. This type of staining is not covered under the warranty, be sure to use rugs or mats that are labeled "non-staining".
